The BLACK WEALTH GAP

·        Data from the Federal Reserve’s Distributional Financial Accounts, shows between 2019 and 2022, total wealth increased for all racial and ethnic groups. However, according to the Survey for Consumer Finances, median Black wealth increased to $44,890, but continued to lag other racial groups. In 2022, median wealth for non-white Latino or Hispanic households was $62,000; $285,000 for white households; and $536,00 for Asians…. This means there is not Blacks and Hispanics at the bottom there are only Blacks. Hispanics average pay is $29.80 or $8.91 more per hour or $1426 more per month in income than that of Black Americans.
