"Addressing the Historical Black Descendants Wealth Gap"
Hello, my name is Bonita Lacy I have over 25 years of leadership, project development, entrepreneurial and business and government advisory experience. I am the Director of a 25-year-old tax exempt organization; we are specializing in turning lives around and visions into realities through actions and directed paths when needed by families. Our nonprofit mission is to have children in homes and communities which are healthy, whole, stable and safe. We address needs of families to achieve our mission. What we realize and what legislators know is that DNA trauma passed on as a legacy along with the a lack of finances due to historical denials and laws often causes so much of Black society's problems, Those lacks are behind the causes that breeds crimes for survival, it causes health problems and mental health is impacted all stemming from the invisible unspoken war on Black finances which started from practices during and after slavery leaving a financial deficit as the legacy of those harms . Those policies and practices were the seat of building this nation and unequitable hoarding working peoples pay and denying recompense up until today is an extension of that oppressive era designed to just impact Black people throughout history to keep them as a subservient labor force. The lack of livable wages and lack of fair compensation when harmed leaves a financial deficit in Black peoples lives causing what we identify as a wealth gap where a small percentage escapes to financial freedom. That lack and it breeds desperation for financial survival and also for the desire from stagnation when faced with deprivation barriers causes people to make criminal decisions.
We address bringing people back into the world from being locked into their traumas, feelings of disappointments from grief losses and now with this venture addressing the financial lack to just survive.
My career spans industries—from launching service-based and retail businesses to serving as a consultant and government solutions advisor. Today, as a solution based social impact-preneur (a word I created and use) as I continue to support issues which can be solved that makes impacts on the lives of people both Black and white who often have contrasting issues.
My approach is spiritual, visionary, impactful, and practical.
I design ventures and develop frameworks that guide implementation and deliver results based on measurable impact. I leverage collaborative, team-based people inspired strategies to get result based solutions to realization.
At the core of my work is a belief that ideas and solutions are revealed through divine inspiration—what I call Creator Intelligence (CI) a parallel the faith-based AI. This is where strategic insight is birthed—guiding innovations and solutions that are simple, affordable, attainable, and measurable in their outcomes.
The 440400 Social Impact Venture Fund is one of the most significant initiative I’ve undertaken in recent years. It is designed to address a deeply rooted, age-old issue with an enduring, modern-day solution—created to have a meaningful and lasting social impact.
This vision was conceived at the reflection pool—the feet of Dr. King in Atlanta. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. had an unfulfilled vision for the negro. As part of his legacy, he left blueprints for inspiration for future generations to pick up and use for transformative change, one which serves as the foundation and inspiration of this mission.
The 440400 Social Venture Investment Fund is a response to Dr. King’s final call—a call for economic justice and empowerment for the Negro community. What this venture does is provides a reprieve for descendants and it is our chance to address slavery's lingering past as a nation.
“Faith, legacy, and impact.” are the reason for this investment venture.
